When I’m shooting a proposal session, my job isn’t just to “take” pretty photos…my job is to capture the personalities and the raw emotion of my clients, as well as the beauty of the setting they’ve chosen for their portraits. If I didn’t document every delicate detail and tie it together with the rest of their images, I wouldn’t be doing what I was hired to do! Prior to all my engagement sessions, I’ve already asked my clients how they met, how they fell in love and how he proposed…so I know their love story beforehand, which helps me to show their love in every portrait when the session day comes. Having your portrait taken is not a natural thing, and making your clients feel comfortable and relaxed is one of the most difficult tasks we have as photographers. But this definitely was not the case with Stefanie and Dominick’s session!! From the second Stefanie got out of the car, she was bursting with happiness!! Even at our first meeting, the first thing I noticed about Stefanie was her infections smile and laugh…a photog’s dream! She is SO excited to be marrying her best friend that she simply glowed from the first portrait to the last. Dominick is so mellow and laid back…he was such a great sport after every kiss photo…the poor guy kept having to rub Stefanie’s lipstick off his lips!!! The way he embraces her is just too sweet and made me smile with every pose we did!

After their first session date got totally rained out, our second attempt was a winner. Golden, warm and so romantic…this early fall session (with hints of lingering Summer) was perfect for their November wedding!

These flowers were unreal! They almost looked like snowflakes and ice!
