Oh my gosh, have I been waiting for this wedding!!! Ever since I met Rae and Steve at their engagement session last year (remember her awesome vintage ring on the dried flowers!? Yes, us too!) I’ve totally thought of them as fast friends. Not only do Rae and I share an almost identical style, but we have very similar temperaments, too…which is more important in a client-photographer relationship than you’d think!! After our glowy and rustic engagement session, I knew these two would plan a wedding to match and they did!! After doing gorgeous prep photos at their home, we made our way to the ceremony location…a pretty, private spot at the base of old stone steps in Rockefeller State Park Preserve. Even with a brewing storm (which barely missed us!) this spot was so breezy and romantic…and even featured beautiful rolling hills, a view of the Hudson and…sheep!! I could not have pictured Rae and Steve sharing the vows they wrote for each other anywhere else. Rae stunned in a lace BDHLN gown, Manolo Blahnik shoes and simple jewelry, including a necklace given to her by Steve. After saying “I do”, Rae and Steve cut the prettiest little cake I’ve ever seen, popped open a bottle of champagne and we hit the hills for some seriously gorgeous and golden portraits! A dream!
