It’s always so interesting to see the locations that my clients choose for their sessions. The different beaches, trails, parks and venues I’ve traveled to never disappoint but some locations are so absolutely unique that they definitely cannot be replicated! When Mel’s email landed in my inbox, describing her desire to have her engagement session on her grandparents’ country house in the Catskills, I’m pretty sure I actually squealed. I’m an outdoorsy, nature-loving lady (surprise, surprise!) and so when my clients tell me that they’d like more of a rustic session, I’m all over it. The drive up to the proper itself was glorious. So many mountains…I could barely keep my eyes on the road! Mel and Andy chose a sunset session and what a perfect fit for such a pretty location. Mel’s grandparents’ property has 2 pretty ponds, a gorgeous red barn, a peaceful trail that goes around the grounds and it backs up to a river. What a dream!! Because Mel and Andy live in St. Louis, Andy had actually never been to the property…so I wasn’t the only new one on the tour! So with the help of Mel’s incredibly sweet family (and a fleet of golf carts) we took advantage of the Autumn light and captured some seriously swoon-worthy moments. With the light reflecting off the water, there was absolutely no spot on the property that wasn’t magical. Literal magic!
Fave! This light was unreal. Gorgeous, gorgeous!
So glowy and good!!
Congrats, Mel + Andy!!
