It’s very seldom that I reschedule engagement sessions for weather (even if it’s drizzling, if my clients are down, SO AM I!) but on their original session date, Marisa and Tommy had one of the absolute dreariest and darkest days I’ve seen in my career. I knew they wanted some pretty sunset sessions with our famous golden, glowy light and there was just no way we were going to get it. So after waiting and hoping as long as we could for a change in the forecast, we opted to reschedule for a few weeks later. And oh, what a beautiful decision!! Not only were the leaves in our chosen locations at their peak (which they weren’t at our previous date!) but the light was still overcast but SUPER bright and dewy. Just magical!! And the only other aspect that made this session pure joy and beauty is this sweet couple themselves. Despite these two high school sweethearts having never had professional portraits done before, Marisa was a rockstar with every pose and the way Tommy looked at her during each transition was as SWEET and romantic as it gets. Because this couple is so laid back and cool, they trusted me to bring them into one of my favorite, secret spots nestled in the heart of Harriman for their second location…and wow did it pay off! One of our most colorful and rich sessions to-date! I can’t wait for their wedding next year!! xo
