The biggest benefit of living in the lower Hudson Valley is that we have SUCH diverse locations for sessions!! I always ask my couples what their vision is for their engagement session…beach, forest, industrial, garden, etc.? Compared to JUST living near the beach (hey, I wouldn’t complain!) or just being surrounded by mountains, we are literally in the sweet spot of backdrops! I love that I can successfully start a session by the water in Piermont and end it up in the mountains of Harriman State Park; it makes for a more rounded batch of portraits and it allows both me and my clients to have more fun! Lexi and Mike wanted that super Fall feel for their engagement session and while there aren’t too many local farms that aren’t either super crowded or require an expensive permit, I am SO lucky that one of my friends actually owns a farm and gave us FREE RANGE to shoot wherever we wanted! Ahh!! I was so excited to let Lexi and Mike know that we’d be starting our session on a pretty walking trail and finishing up at sunset on the gorgeous, golden hills of this private farm. Just magical! In addition to these perfect session locations, this couple is one of my favorites of ALL TIME! The absolute sweetest and laid back you could ever imagine…dream clients turned friends! I cannot wait for their wedding next Fall!! P.S. Just look at how Mike looks at Lexi in their portraits…so romantic!! xo
