Half the fun of doing portraits is seeing how siblings and family members interact; the bonds that exist between siblings always emerge almost immediately once I arrive at an event. This is especially why I LOVE to photograph the honoree with each individual family member…it helps me see the differences in each relationship; I love how one portrait can show siblings in an adorable and genuine embrace and the next sibling is met with teasing and goofiness…that’s what makes portraits real! When I first spoke with Leah’s mom and she told me that Leah was the oldest of 5 children, I knew the portrait session would be a blast and so full of personality…but then she told me that Leah was the only girl in a family of all boys! Sweet and fun and so energetic, this family did not disappoint. Sweet Leah had so many visions for her special day and radiated so much confidence that shooting her event was a breeze! And not only did her family and friends tear up the dance floor, but her dad presented the all-time greatest montage I’ve seen in my career (did I mention he sang his own version of Adele’s Hello?!?!?!!) I absolutely love this family and loved this event!
