As much as I love meeting new clients and getting to know them, it makes me even happier when I get to shoot for people I’ve known my whole life!! Laura and I not only grew up next door to each other but my uncle married her aunt…making us like cousins!! I have so many cute photos of us together when we were younger…so it’s fun to think that in a few months I’ll be shooting her wedding!

The day that we were initially going to do Mat and Laura’s engagement session, it was so ugly out; when it’s overcast, I usually still shoot because the light is still pretty, but this day was horrible. It was actually dark out! So I had to call Laura and tell her I thought it would be best to reschedule. Having to reschedule 3 engagement sessions in one week due to rain was terrible…but so worth it! Laura and Mat’s second attempt at a session was a home run. Gorgeous, golden light with pretty, wispy clouds that let in the perfect amount of late-Summer rays. Our session ended just as the sun was setting behind the horizon. Dreamy!!
