The way I met Debbie and Jason is actually a pretty cute and funny story. For years my family and I have been going to the same pharmacy, usually the same day every week…even around the same time (textbook type-A personality!) Every trip, we stop in to say hello to Ted the pharmacist. When Ted told me that his daughter had recently gotten engaged, I handed him some of my business cards and crossed my fingers!! Everyone in my family loves Ted…so being a part of his daughter’s big day would feel like I’m shooting for my own family! When the day of our meeting came, I totally connected with Debbie and Jason. They’re witty and funny and sarcastic…we just got each other! I don’t remember laughing so hard at any other client meeting. So between the goofiness and the zingers, we clicked and it was a done deal!!
When discussing locations for an engagement session, I always tell my clients to pick a spot that reflects the theme/style of their wedding…if you are having a Winter wedding, have an engagement session at a cozy coffee shop or snowy walking trail. Since Debbie and Jason are having their wedding by the water, I immediately pictured a warm, breezy waterfront session…and so did they! They picked one of the prettiest locations in Rockland County…the Piermont Pier! With it’s pretty walkway, swaying greenery and relaxing sounds of gentle waves, the Pier is one of my favorite places to be, let alone to shoot at! So with the path and pier illuminated in the Summer morning light, I captured the fun and sweet love between Jason and Debbie!
Love this!
Such gorgeous, soft light!
I love the way she’s smiling while she kisses him!
