Portrait sessions in February are HARD!! Aside from the raw weather and equal risk of rain or snow, it’s SO barren out, so your options for pretty locations are minimal. But when you have a fun, energetic client and a hunch for finding hidden gem spots, even the most boring month of the year can’t stop magic from happening!! Fellow photog, Ashleigh asked if I would do some portraits for her with a few examples of her vision and I immediately started searching for the ideal session locations. By the grace of God, we were blessed with not just a glowy, overcast day but it was in the 50s!! (Hard to believe we had a foot of snow on the ground 24 hours later). The fact that I brought Ashleigh to both an old favorite spot and a new (hidden!) one resulted in shimmery, unique but timeless shots. She even hiked her way to location #2…amazing!! Did I mention this girl can pose??! So honored to have been her photog for a day. She even wrote me the sweetest of notes…which will forever have a place on my rave board!
