Taking portraits is only half of a photographer’s job. If you simply take a picture without really showing who you’re capturing, you’re not fulfilling your obligation! The beauty and brilliance of photography is documenting not only what someone looks like at a specific time in life but bringing out their personalities and making sure their character radiates in their portraits. Photos can be flat, but they can be rich and dimensional as well…but only with the love and energy that we as photographers need to encapsulate. With that said, the Buchsbaum family was NOT lacking any love or energy…at all!! The personalities and character interactions I was blessed to experience with this family made their portraits as priceless as they come! As much as I connect with all of my clients, having portraits taken is not a natural thing and of course some stiffness and awkwardness can be expected, at least at first; not with this fam! From their sweet kiddies to very patient (great!)grandparents, I love every member of this brood! The way I was allowed into their beautiful home and lives even for a short time resulted in genuine portraits that can only come from truly relaxed clients and involved photogs. This light, this yard, these amazing laughs made this session a beautiful and happy success!
