Every destination wedding we shoot is the opportunity of a lifetime and so rich with unique character. Everything from new locations to new cultures and traditions make these weddings truly the most beautiful in the world. When I photographed Michael and Kirsty’s proposal in New York City two years ago, I had NO idea that they’d be flying me out to shoot their wedding IN SCOTLAND! When a couple even considers having you fly across the country or the world for their wedding, it means so much but when it becomes official and you’re on that plane, it means everything. Part of what made this wedding so special to me is that Michael and Kirsty are from the city where my own family is from…Glasgow! And being able to see so much of this pretty country, from its famous city to its picturesque suburbs, was magical. Kirsty and Michael were married in a pretty little church and celebrated with a fun reception at one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever seen! Surrounded by the sweetest (and most hilarious!) family and friends, this wedding was enveloped in culture, joy and love. It was SUCH a pleasure and an honor to be the one to capture this beautiful big day and I’m so happy for these two! Congratulations, Michael and Kirsty! xo
