I’ve had brides contact me from all over…they’re friends of friends, followers on instagram, even just people I’ve met at the grocery store (true story!) But when an old friend from my past asks me to be her wedding photographer, it’s the most wonderful thing!! Sara and I first met in college…we had so many classes together, that we just became fast friends. I followed her on Facebook and lived vicariously through her and Keith on all their travel adventures and when she reached out to me and asked me to be a part of her big day, it was so heartwarming!! It had been so many years since I had seen her, and meeting Keith at their engagement session was the best reunion/meeting ever!! And while their engagement session was only last year, it felt like forever since I’ve seen this great couple.
And the only thing greater than getting to share in their joy on their wedding day, is being blessed with the gorgeous details!! Sara told me that her bouquets would be made up entirely of wildflowers from her father’s garden…amazing!! It truly made this wedding one of the most delicate and beautiful weddings I’ve shot in my career. Everything about their big day was timeless and pretty and so full of fun! I am SO happy for these two and I cannot WAIT to meet baby Donaldson! That’s right, this beautiful bride is going to be a mama, too!! So happy, so proud of my friend! Congratulations, Sara and Keith! xo
